Our Reverdy ADULT ENERGY food does indeed come in pellet form. On the website, as well as on the feed's technical data sheet, the photo clearly shows this pellet form. Could you give us a few details about the image you're talking about? Where did you see it?
All our feeds are available in pellet form (or in pellets with a few corn flakes to boost energy intake).
Pelleting ensures better preservation and a similar distribution of ingredients. It guarantees stability, homogeneity and balance.
What's more, our food is pelletized using steam, without the use of molasses, a sugar by-product that can be responsible for pathological disorders such as esophageal blockages, gastric ulcers and behavioral disorders.
Flaking significantly increases the digestibility and therefore the glycemic index of cereals. Foods rich in flakes (known as "flakes") therefore have a high glycemic index, especially as they often contain molasses. Excessive consumption of flakes therefore favors/aggravates overweight, gastric ulcers, behavioral disorders, muscular disorders ("blood strokes"), joint disorders (OCD), and metabolic disorders (EMS, Cushing's syndrome).

Absolutely perfect product. There's just one little hitch, the very strong smell that perfumes my car and my hands, my pockets, my backpack...3 of my horses love it, but the youngest doesn't at all. Concerning the smell, it is linked to the active ingredients that make up the CMV, the vitamins and trace elements. An apple flavoring is added to "mask" the smell as much as possible and make it easier for horses to take the CMV (on its own).
For horses that are a little hesitant, you can try leaving a few units of MINERAL OLIGOVIT EASY DOSE out in the open air (for 24 hours, for example) to ensure that the smell subsides, then try again a little later. More delicate horses usually get used to it gradually.
But if by "little one" you mean a young horse, we recommend the 'EASY DOSE' format of OLIGOVIT MINERAL for young horses from 1 year of age. For younger horses (under 1 year), OLIGOVIT MINERAL is available in vermicelli form.
