I must inform you that this collection is unique, as it is entirely handmade, without casting and with rudimentary tools, almost as it was hundreds of years ago. These craftsmen are committed to working using the same techniques as their ancestors, thus perpetuating an age-old craft. Another typical aspect of this collection is the patina. This is achieved by blackening the jewel and then polishing it by hand, using bergamot leaves, or (for the most rigid pieces) metal fibers. This polishing technique gives a very special lustre to this collection. The result is a jewel that's a little rough, where you can guess the imprint of the person who fashioned it. But there's nothing to stop you reworking the jewel to suit your taste. For our part, we've decided to sell this collection as it was entrusted to us, out of respect for these craftsmen and their know-how. And I'm sure you'll understand our position.
