This bamboo charcoal is so effective that when it is no longer effective, the water seems undrinkable, so there is no risk of drinking poor quality water. For those who don't want or can't afford reverse osmosis, the binchotan ticks all the boxes: efficient (apparently, even on pesticides contained in the water), economical and super ecological.
