I'm so glad I found this charcoal because after 4 hours the water doesn't taste like tap water at all, I really recommend it.

First of all, I would like to point out that the water in my house is very hard.Strong points :- ecological and natural- simple and easy preparation (10min in boiling water, and personally I rinse the charcoal before putting it in the water carafe)- takes little space- effectively softened water, especially at room temperature- long duration (6 months) so economical compared to filtering carafes where the filter only lasts one month- can give a nice decorative effect in the carafeWeak points :- anticipate at least 4h before being able to taste purified water (they indicate at least 4h for a good water and at least 8h for an excellent water)- the carbon can go out of the carafe if you pour it with little water in it- the carbon can make noise by moving in a carafe not very full

Activated carbon is an excellent filtering agent. It is found in all filtration systems. But this one has the particularity to be used alone, in a water carafe. It will not blacken it and will be able to filter it with effectiveness. Each piece has an important capacity of filtration and will capture the heavy metals, pesticides, limestone and other.I use it in a carafe of one liter. It is necessary to regenerate it before the first use, by making it boil.at the use, the water is not going to change of taste, but it is going to be more neutral, softer... It is above all an excellent palliative to the filtration cartridges which are nests of bacteria. For its ecological aspect, its effectiveness, its longevity (6 months per stick), this Japanese charcoal deserves 5 stars.

Very fast delivery. Product conforms to the description. Effective, leaves the teeth hyper clean, smooth, better than with a brush! The only drawback is the individual plastic packaging which does not correspond to an ecological approach.

This new method of filtration is both ecological and very practical, since it can be used in all your bottles and jugs, without the need for a special system. There will be no risk of breakage or wear and tear, as the sticks simply need to be immersed in the water and changed every 3 or 4 weeks.odorless and tastelessIt will not give any particular or unpleasant taste to the water. It will not give any particular or unpleasant taste to the water. It would even tend to remove the taste of "rancid" that the water can have by remaining for example two or three days in a gourd. I did this test, only for the needs of the evaluation: I was pleasantly surprised! And I deduce that this stick must indeed filter.EASY TO USE AND VERY PRACTICALYou just have to let the stick soak 10 minutes in boiling water before putting it in your gourd or bottle. If you want to clean the guard, you remove the stick and then put it back.moreover, the sticks are very thin not very long (about 15 cm) and thus fit in all the gourds, even the smallest. They fit in my 400ml bottle for example.COLORLESSI have not noticed any traces in our bottles, whether they are made of plastic or metal. In fact, I tried to push the test further: I tried to "write" with the stick on different surfaces, when it is dry as well as when it is wet, and it is absolutely impossible.SOLID AND NOT SOLUBLEIn the 10 days that they have been floating in our water bottles, in the ones that we filled every day as well as in the ones in which we left water for 2 days, there was no charcoal residue. Not only does it not crumble, but this stick is virtually unbreakable: I've tried everything to break it (except maybe the hammer...) and it always stays whole without even getting damaged.NEVER OBSTRUCT THE BOTTLE In fact, the stick doesn't float but sinks, so it stays at the bottom. And as you lengthen the bottles they are shallower at the neck, they never come to the edge of your lips. It is even quite difficult to remove the stick from the bottle without emptying it, but in metal or insulated bottles they make a slight tinkling noise. In plastic bottles, no problem, unless they are empty or almost empty.

Very fashionable recently, are these pieces of coal effective? Is bamboo as good as oak? Is the cost justified? I had all these questions in mind, and I think I can answer them. A little description to start with: 6 bamboo charcoals in this pack (the same supplier offers a

I chose this product to purify the water but it turns out that the charcoal sticks float and that means that this charcoal is ineffective, so I have a doubt about the quality of the product.

I have been using Binchotan for several months and I know that counterfeits unfortunately exist. This one is guaranteed to come from Japanese oak forests, it is the result of an ancestral know-how.It is an activated carbon that filters tap water and allows you to do without plastic filtering carafes.Binchotan makes tap water much softer without chlorine taste for example.Very good value for money

I used to use a Brita coffee maker, but the cartridges are particularly expensive.I've been wanting to try activated carbon for a long time. The bamboo can be used for 1 month, provided that it is boiled once again halfway through the process. After one hour, the first effects are present and completely effective after 4 hours. My son loves the taste of this filtered water.I am also conquered, the waste is much less than with the Brita (plastic refills) and recycled. It's great.

The charcoals are half hollow, which makes them fragile compared to others I have tested.you have to boil them at the first use, so there is a strong chance that they break prematurely (it happened to me).I do not recommend, prefer other brands (black and blum for example).
